Features section — the global manager for all room amenities and features used across the theme. Located in Catalog → Features in the admin menu. Features defined here are used in the Features and Amenities tab on each room edit screen.
Features list
Displays all existing features as a sortable table. Rows can be reordered via drag and drop to control their display order on the frontend. Use Disable sortable checkbox to lock the order if needed. The table columns are:
- Name — the feature name. Child features (sub-items within a group) are shown indented with a dash, indicating their parent group (e.g. — Private bathroom belongs to the Bathroom group).
- Small Icon — the icon displayed inline in compact views such as the room card in the listing.
- Big Icon — the larger icon used on the room detail page.
- Top — a checkmark indicator. When enabled for a feature, it is considered a Top Feature (see below).
- Count — the number of rooms that currently have this feature enabled.
Each row has Edit, Quick Edit, and Delete actions.
Add / Edit Feature fields
- Name — the label displayed on the frontend.
- Slug — the URL-friendly identifier, auto-generated from the name. Used internally.
- Parent Feature — assign a parent to create a hierarchy. Parent features act as group headers (e.g. Bathroom is the parent of Shower, Toilet, Towels, etc.). This grouping is reflected in the Features and Amenities tab on the room edit screen.
- Description (tooltip) — optional text shown as a tooltip when a guest hovers over the feature icon on the frontend.
- Top Feature — a YES/NO toggle. When enabled, this feature is highlighted prominently on the room detail page and, importantly, is also shown directly on the room card in the listings. Only Top Features appear in the room list — regular features are visible only on the full room page. Use this for the most important selling points of a room.
- Image-Icon — upload a custom SVG or image file to use as the feature icon. Takes priority over Font-Icon.
- Font-Icon — select an icon from the theme’s built-in icon font (e.g. bathroom-sm). Used as a fallback when no Image-Icon is set. Two icon sizes (small and big) are used in different contexts automatically.
- Image-Icon (big on the room page) — visible only when Top Feature is enabled. An optional larger image or SVG icon displayed prominently on the room detail page. If not set, the standard Image-Icon is used as a fallback.
- Font-Icon (big on the room page) — visible only when Top Feature is enabled. An optional larger font icon for the room detail page (e.g. bathroom-big). If not set, the standard Font-Icon is used as a fallback. Ignored if Image-Icon (big) is specified.
